Financing possibilities

We are happy to announce that Eurostat will provide funding to the IAOS conference (through a grant managed by UNSD) to support the participation of statisticians from developing countries (according to the World Bank Country Classifications). Its aim is to facilitate broader and more inclusive participation in both the IAOS conference and the training session on 25 April, delivered by Prof. Partha Lahiri.

The financial support will cover travel costs, per diems and registration fees for maximum 50 attendees with a view to ensuring proper regional balance of participants. A committee, consisting of IAOS, Eurostat, UNSD and Statistics Poland, will make the granting decisions.

In case of your interest, the attached application form is kindly requested to be sent back to the address:  e.bandurska@stat.gov.pl no later than 20 February 2022.

After this date, the committee will decide to whom the funding will be awarded. The awardees will be notified in due time.

The 18th IAOS conference is being planned as a fully in-person event. Neither a hybrid nor an online format is planned. That is why it is recommended to check the current conditions and requirements before travelling to Poland.
